Kaley Cuoco Wins Horseback Riding Competition With Escarlata

Kaley Cuoco recently competed at a horse show with one of her horses, Escarlata.

On her Instagram account, the actress revealed that they participated in the 1.35 classic off the circuit category. Cuoco praised Escarlata for her perfect performance with a single rail. The photo she posted showed Cuoco sitting and hugging the horse. Prior to the competition, Cuoco also posted a photo of her other horse, Benji, who did not participate at the event.

Cuoco has been competing at various horse shows for the past couple of years. In fact, she has received countless recognition in the sport. However, there was also a time in her life when she thought she could no longer ride horses. In 2010, Cuoco fell off her horse during one of her riding lessons. The actress’ ankle snapped, and she could barely move at the time.

Immediately after the accident, Cuoco was rushed to the hospital where she was told by the doctors to consider amputation. During an appearance on the “Ellen Show,” Cuoco shared, “I’m hysterical and my doctor comes in… ‘OK, gotta go over your options; one of them is amputation.’ All I’m thinking is… ‘I’m gonna have to call work and tell them I only have one foot.’”

Cuoco added that the doctors decided to give her the worst case scenario because she was about to go into surgery. “He was really telling me that they were thinking there was infection… I thought my foot was gonna be gone… They had to tell me because I was going into emergency surgery that I might be coming out with one foot,” she said.

Luckily, Cuoco recovered from the accident. Now, not only is she still riding horses, but she is also part of the CBS sitcom “Big Bang Theory.” [Source]

‘The Big Bang Theory’ Renewed For Seasons 11 & 12 By CBS

CBS Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television have reached a deal for a two-year renewal of The Big Bang Theory, through the 2018-19 season. The pact comes on the heels of the two companies closing a deal for a spinoff prequel series, Young Sheldon, which is expected to launch next fall behind Big Bang.

The two-season pickup for CBS’ flagship series also comes after the show’s original cast members Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar signed new two-year contracts to continue.

I hear the renewal is being announced with no deals in place for Big Bang co-stars Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik, whose contracts also are up at the end of Season 10. They have been negotiating new contracts, and I hear they are close but not closed yet.

Rauch and Bialik, both introduced as guest stars in Season 3 and becoming regulars in Season 4, had been earning about $175,000 an episode in their most recent deal. Because their characters have become an integral and equal part of the show’s ensemble, with Bialik earning four Emmy nominations for her role, the two had been seeking a major salary increase that would get their pay checks close to just under $1 million an episode Parsons, Galecki, Cuoco, Helberg and Nayyar will command after reportedly pitching in each 100,000 an episode toward Rauch and Bialik’s raises. Observers expect Rauch and Bialik to end up around or north $500,000 per episode.

While Big Bang‘s production price tag — covered in large part by CBS at this point in the series’ run — is creeping up to an eye-popping $10 million an episode, the comedy series is in its own league performance-wise. In its 10th season, The Big Bang Theory is the most-watched and highest rated scripted series on television with an average of 19.4 million viewers in Live+7 and a 5.1 Live+7 rating in 18-49. What’s more, Big Bang, the most watched comedy series since 2010-11, is still packing the elusive live audience, averaging more than 14 million live viewers for an original telecast. ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Closing In On 2-Year Renewal As Original Cast Nears New Deals

CBS‘ The Big Bang Theory is on track to go on for at least two more seasons. I hear that original cast members Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar are finalizing new two-year contracts to continue on the Warner Bros TV-produced comedy series, paving the way for a two-year renewal, which I hear also is nearing the finishing line. If negotiations between CBS and WBTV conclude successfully, it would bring the blockbuster comedy to 12 seasons. The network and studio declined comment.

This is a pretty quick turnaround compared with the cast negotiations three years ago, when talks dragged on during the summer, leading to a weeklong delay in start of production for Season 8. Back then, CBS and WBTV closed a three-year renewal for the show in March, which was followed by the protracted talent negotiations. This time, talent conversations have been going on parallel tracks with license fee renewal talks between CBS and WBTV and negotiations for The Big Bang Theory prequel series, Sheldon, which is in the works for next season. CBS is covering most of the series’ production cost, a standard practice for a show late in its run.

I hear the five original stars — Parsons, Galecki, Cuoco, Helberg and Nayyar — are getting the same salary under “most favored nations” terms, ensuring financial parity among the quintet. The paychecks are believed to be pretty close to what the five are making this season, around $1 million an episode. Continue reading
